CUDDALORE: Thousands of devotees of Melmaruvathur Adhi Parasakthi Peedam, clad in red attire, took out a rally in the town here on Saturday.
Bangaru Adigalar of the Peedam watched the procession from a specially erected podium at a vantage point on the Bharathi Road.
According to the organisers the rally was taken out for getting good rains, protection of natural resources, for the development of industrial activity, thriving of spiritual pursuit and for the overall peace.
The devotees had come from various parts of Cuddalore district, Villupuram, Puducherry and the neighbouring districts by all modes of transport.
